Network Participation
At RISE, we believe in the power of networks of educators working together across schools and districts to advance shared goals. Many partner schools attend a Symposium event and then deepen their engagement with RISE through our follow-on network learning communities.

Grade 9 Focus Network
The Grade 9 Focus Network (G9FN) is a year-long community of practice through which schools and districts work to strengthen structures, systems, and practices in order to further establish conditions for success around the Grade 9 transition. Currently in its third year, the network includes a combination of personalized coaching and feedback for individual participant schools with cross-district professional development for the network at large to learn, collaborate, and share best practices. Postsecondary Focus Network

The Postsecondary Focus Network (PSFN) will support teams in pursuing improvement cycles and piloting new strategies to promote postsecondary access for their students. Participating schools receive targeted coaching to analyze local data and practices, and take part in cross-district professional learning activities, including a facilitated visit to a RISE Network partner school to see strategies in action. The PSFN will launch in August 2026 — learn more!
RISE in Action: Virtual Learning Series
Join us for the RISE in Action Virtual Learning Series, a dynamic lineup of 60-minute virtual sessions designed to help educators strengthen their Grade 9 On-Track and Postsecondary Success work. Whether you’re refining established systems or just getting started, each session offers real-world strategies, practical tools, and collaborative learning to move your work forward.
Each session will highlight promising practices currently in use at RISE partner schools — approaches that have been tested, refined, and are making a measurable impact on student outcomes. You’ll hear directly from school-based educators, explore relevant resources, and engage with peers across the network to tackle shared challenges together. Learn more!

RISE Network Convening
Every spring, RISE brings together approximately 200 educators from across all of our networks for a high-energy day of learning and inspiration. The annual convening generally includes a keynote speaker to advance our collective improvement efforts. Educators also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in RISE’s latest action research where we analyze cross-network data to identify high-leverage opportunities to promote student success. School teams also learn from and plan with one another through participant-driven breakout sessions spotlighting promising practices across schools.

School Visits
RISE hosts annual visits to Core Network partner schools to enable attendees to observe key structures and practices in action, connect with and learn from fellow educators working on building on-track and postsecondary success, and reflect on implementation and strategy design in their own contexts in light of observations.
