The RISE Postsecondary Success team partners with CT high schools to ensure all students graduate on time and complete milestones for their identified postsecondary plans. In the coming weeks, we will celebrate the accomplishments of graduating seniors in our Core Network schools. Their dedication, hard work, and resilience have led them to this important goal. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!

What is your plan, after you graduate high school?
Micaela: I plan to attend Harvard University in the fall and study History and Sociology.
What support did you receive to help you form your postsecondary plan?
Micaela: I received a lot of support from my mom and older brother. I also had an incredible amount of help from Ms. Snuffer, my School Counselor, and Ms. Pal, my Imagine College Mentor.
What advice would you give to a rising senior?
Micaela: I would advise students to enjoy themselves and not get overwhelmed by staying organized. They should stay focused on their achievements and celebrate them rather than focusing on their struggles. I recommend that students take advantage of the MHS community of support from counselors to their peers
What are you most proud of, as you look back on your high school experience?
Micaela: I am proud that I was able to grow as a person and become a better human during my high school years. Remember, you can learn something from everyone.
What are you most looking forward to, as you look ahead to the future?
Micaela: I look forward to learning from the people I will meet in the future and the new experiences that lie ahead.
