The transformative efforts achieved in partnership with our core RISE Network schools over the years have yielded promising outcomes. As we reflect on the past school year and look ahead to the future, we are excited to share these results, which affirm the success of RISE’s mission to ensure all high school students graduate with a plan and the skills and confidence to achieve college and career success.
Across RISE Network high schools, the percentage of Grade 9 students on-track to graduate in four years has increased by 19 percentage points from their baseline. That is 600+ more students on-track annually, in just eight high schools, compared to the baseline year.
Notably, historically marginalized students saw larger increases in on-track rates as compared to the overall growth: Black Students (+29 percentage pts); Latino/Hispanic (+22 percentage pts); Multilanguage Learners (+22 percentage pts); Students with Special Needs (+25 percentage pts); and Males (+22 percentage pts).

99% of the Class of 2023 (2,573 students) graduated from core network high schools last year with a postsecondary plan. Among the Class of 2023, 43% of seniors plan to enroll in 4-year institutions, 26% plan to pursue 2-year degrees, 7% plan to enroll in trade/technical programs, 3% plan to enlist in the military, and 6% will continue in transitional programs. Additionally, FAFSA completion rates across the core network improved from 59% in 2022 to 66% in 2023.
The accomplishments of our students are a testament to the dedication of the many educators supporting them and the effectiveness of the RISE strategies being implemented and honed each year. Looking forward, we remain dedicated to empowering every student, ensuring that they have the skills and confidence to achieve their goals. The trajectory of success we’ve witnessed reinforces our belief that, with continued dedication and collaboration, the RISE Network will help shape a bright future for all our students.
